Capturing Two Moments with One Setting

Q+A

“How did you get this moment both in long and slow shutter speeds in seemingly one instant?”

Photos from Hannah & Dustin’s Backyard Palm Desert Wedding

Both photos are the same shutter and aperture.

In the first photo Dustin was in the middle of dipping the bride. I moved my camera along with his movement to create a panning effect.

My shutter was slower but when he bent her backwards they stood still long enough for me to get a focused photo even with a slow shutter. I just had to keep my hand steady.

Just one of those fluke moments.
